My Approach & Intent

My approach to shooting is to create a space that unfolds naturally and is authentic, all the while rooted in storytelling. Whether it's a wedding day, a couple intertwined in laughter, or a portrait session meant to honor this season of life, my goal as a photographer is to first and foremost make every person, I work with feel their absolute best. I am confident that my ability to make the ones I'm lucky enough to photograph feel comfortable, which I believe is what creates the most raw and intimate images.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. how long until after our shoot will we recieve our photos?

For a standard session, 2-3 weeks. For a wedding 5-8 weeks. Previews always within 24-48 hours.

2. Do you help with planning out the session?

I will always ask if you need assistance before your session whether it is ideas on location, outfits, or getting creative and comfortable in front of the camera. I am here to make the process stress free and enjoyable so by the time we meet up, you feel confident and we can have a great time!

3. What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

The initial deposit paid is non-refundable, in situations of rescheduling and cancellation. I always take these on as a per-situation basis and will do my best to work around finding a solution that suits all of us. In case of outright cancellation, no refund will be given.

4. Do you offer digital files, prints, or albums?

All my clients receive high resolution images when their gallery is sent. You don't need the beautiful images that you have received to just sit, untouched in your google photos or a flash drive. Prints and Wedding albums are valuable add ons, and a great way to preserve your memories for you to showcase, in your home, or to your posterity.

Frequently Asked Questions

5. how many photos will i recieve?

Every shoot is different, for a 1 hour portrait session you will receive a minimum of 50 images. For elopements the minimum is 200, and an 8 hour wedding service you will receive a minimum of 400 images.

6. Can I request specific poses or shots?

You totally can, but I also value maintaining in giving just enough direction to get you moving, but it's up to you to make it your own. My style is candid, creative, and natural. You'll be moving the entire time, the more you do the better.

7. Can we meet before the session?

Absolutely we can, as a matter of fact - I encourage it! Human connection is so important, and when / if we are able to meet in person or have a facetime it allows me to get a better feel for how to go about navigating a session, or even a wedding day.

8. How do you edit?

If you are looking to book with me, you are probably familiar with my style, I love maintaining natural hues and colors of the environment while adding warmth, giving it my stylized look. Ultimately a lot of how photos look in post production have to do with how and what you are creating while shooting. This philosophy applies to how I photograph you as an individual, I believe the environment created during a session has the greatest impact on someone's sense of being "photogenic." When you feel comfortable and confident, it shows.

I will gently edit anything that isn't permanent - such as bruises, blemishes, or acne, but I will not alter the way you look naturally.
